COUNCIL UPDATE: Conservative amendment to the Strategic Theme report

See below the Merton Conservative Group's amendment at Merton Council. 

To add recommendations B and C

“B. Council recognises that since the Liberal Democrat Group first proposed the ULEZ expansion to Merton in February 2019, residents have been deeply concerned about the financial impact of the expansion on those least able to afford the daily charge; and that the expansion of ULEZ will have a negligible impact on emission levels. 

C. Council requests Cabinet to suspend the installation of any ULEZ infrastructure on LBM highway assets, in so far as they have power to do so, until after the 2024 London Mayoral election.”
