Clean Up West Barnes!

West Barnes and Motspur Park Village residents deserve pavements clear of rubbish and overflowing bins.

We think people ought to be able to walk on pavements without having to dodge bin bags and other people’s personal rubbish.

Every day, refuse is put out in bags on West Barnes Lane for collection. But it isn’t collected every day or if it is collected, it’s collected late in the mornings, so birds and animals rip open the bags and the pavements are covered in strewn rubbish.

The Council bins are always overflowing and the pavements are full of large commercial bins that are often overflowing.  Residents need more public bins, and they need them to be emptied more often,  whilst commercial bins need to be moved off the pavement.  

We the undersigned, call on Merton Council to take action and clean up West Barnes.
