We mustn’t forget Merton Labour’s Plans to bin our weekly collection
As the joy of the summer rolls on, we must not forget that Merton’s Labour politicians are executing plans to take away your weekly waste collection. Instead, they are trying to implement a far more expensive wheelie bins scheme that will bring ugliness to our streets and pungency to our gardens. Contrary to Labour’s propaganda, the council’s own evidence suggests that recycling rates would suffer as residents stuff more of their rubbish in monolithic bins.
We can stop the Council banishing our weekly collection and the Labour party indulging in their wheelie bin dream. You can start by signing our petition at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/scrappedbincollections
Secondly at the 2018 local elections, please vote for your Conservative candidate. For clean and beautiful streets, you need bins that are well-hidden, weekly collections and not forgetting a weekly street clean. All disappearing in 2018 if Labour still wields power.
